Synopsis

This was a cute, wildly entertaining movie. I don’t know much about racing but this film was surprisingly simple to follow and very intense, keeping you on the edge of your seat. I like Sonny, he’s a relatable charismatic old timer. I also like Ruben, I thought Ruben and Sonny’s dynamic with their past and their outlook on their lives was a highlight of the film. I know this movie had a shit ton of VFX, so props to the VFX cause it’s actually indistinguishable with real life. They actually look like they are driving hundreds of miles an hour and are affected by g forces, but they aren’t somehow. Thats wild. Also lots of aerial drone shots that looked so smooth and looked really complex, props The “villain” being the guy from the board was mid, he’s super cartoony and it didn’t really add much to the story, also some moments his acting was a bit too much and fake. Also the love interest was fine, she seemed very one dimensional and not much past her wanting to prove others wrong from leaving her old job. Great movie, I had a great time and I wanna actually watch some real races and see if they can compare. 8/10

Joseph Kosinski 2025 Brad Pitt = Sonny Hayes Kerry Condon = Kate McKenna Damson Idris = Joshua Pearce Sonny était un grand pilote de F1 jusqu'à ce qu'il se crache lors d'une course. 30 ans après, il gagne un grand pris et est approché par Ruben, un ancien coéquipier, pour que Sonny devienne le second pilote de son équipe. Sonny permet à Joshua de gagner des places dans les course avec des stratagèmes peu académiques (mini crache, graviers ou blocage des autres voitures). Intrépide, Joshua se crache lors d'une course sous la pluie. Il se remet sur pieds, rate une course, et pour la dernière avec Sonny, ils travaillent main dans la main pour battre Hamilton et Leclerc. Cela se finit par la sortie de piste de Joshua qui entraîne Hamilton aussi mais laisse la première place à Sonny qui arrêtera la F1 après sa victoire.
