Première revue sur cette pépite signée David Lynch J’ai adoré ce film suspense, qui te pousse dans des zones assez inconfortables, explorant la violation de l’intimité, la traque, la folie et la crise d’identité. J’ai en tête bien sûr ce dialogue anxiogène au possible entre Fred et le Mystery Man au cours d’une soirée « We’Ve met before, haven’t we ? »… Lynch met aussi en exergue la fougue, le désir, la fureur de vivre sa jeunesse, la séduction… comment ne pas évoquer cette rencontre, filmée au ralenti, entre Alice et Pete, sublimée par la musique de Lou Reed « This magic moment » que j’écoute en boucle depuis. Bref une expérience plus méconnue que Mullholand drive et qui en vaut le détour !
Synopsis
After a bizarre encounter at a party with a stranger, a jazz saxophonist is framed for the murder of his wife and sent to prison, where he inexplicably morphs into a young mechanic, gets released, and begins leading a new life.
