This was fun, serviceable at worst and interesting at best. I like the aesthetic and art style to this game, it’s very unique and aesthetically pleasing. I like the old timey cartoon style and seeing the game fully in a black and yellow monochromatic palate felt right for this game. The gameplay is fine, it’s like a Poppy Playtime with its linear gameplay and puzzles. I will say this game felt well designed, like I wasn’t confused too much and I felt like hints and the design of the level helped me complete hard puzzles and I wasn’t stuck as much like other games, like Security Breach. The story was cool and simple. It parallels a Walt Disney-like character and they integrate some supernatural soul stuff and corruption into the story, so that’s neat. I thought the ending was pretty mid with Ink Demon/Dog Bendy and the boss battle was easy and super simple. I also didn’t like how to kill Bendy is just showing him “The End.” Eh, other than that the story was fun and not bad. I could see why this game was as big as it was. Its art style and visuals are unlike anything I’ve seen, the story is pretty neat, and it did feel very unsettling and scare me pretty good sometimes. 6/10, a great nostalgic horror game.
