In Berlin's Kreuzberg district, a powerful explosion tears through the facade of a lesbian cafe. Simultaneously, Franka Grindberg, a journalist at the Berliner Zeitung, is consumed by worry as her partner, Annette, goes missing. After a futile night of searching, Franka decides to report Annette's disappearance to the police. There, she meets Commissioner Claudia Wolfsmann, who takes the case seriously, piquing Franka's interest. Franka soon realizes that several lesbian women have vanished in recent weeks, leading both her and Commissioner Wolfsmann to suspect a connection between the cafe explosion and the disappearances.
