This was a cute, wildly entertaining movie. I don’t know much about racing but this film was surprisingly simple to follow and very intense, keeping you on the edge of your seat. I like Sonny, he’s a relatable charismatic old timer. I also like Ruben, I thought Ruben and Sonny’s dynamic with their past and their outlook on their lives was a highlight of the film. I know this movie had a shit ton of VFX, so props to the VFX cause it’s actually indistinguishable with real life. They actually look like they are driving hundreds of miles an hour and are affected by g forces, but they aren’t somehow. Thats wild. Also lots of aerial drone shots that looked so smooth and looked really complex, props The “villain” being the guy from the board was mid, he’s super cartoony and it didn’t really add much to the story, also some moments his acting was a bit too much and fake. Also the love interest was fine, she seemed very one dimensional and not much past her wanting to prove others wrong from leaving her old job. Great movie, I had a great time and I wanna actually watch some real races and see if they can compare. 8/10

Franchement je ne sais même pas pourquoi j’aime ce film. Mon cerveau de gogole a aimé les voiture, l’adrénaline, l’histoire d’amour et que la fin soit heureuse. Mais sinon rien n’aller. Trop de story telling, les accidents au début n’ont pas de sens et il y a en a juste trop. Très déçu en tant que fan de F1 car j’aurais aimé quelque chose de plus réaliste après c’est logique qu’ils aient pris cette direction. (un plaisir de l’avoir vu avec mon frère et mes parents accompagnés d’un histoire sans faim)
